Launch your Production 4.0

NORTEC lead theme: 4.0 – Practical Guidance for SMEs

Industry 4.0 – what does this big theme actually mean to small and medium sized production enterprises? You’ll find answers to this question among the 400-plus exhibitors at NORTEC who have specialised in pioneering solutions for SMEs. You can talk to them about the specifics of your Production 4.0 and view best practice presentations to see for yourself how digitalisation actually works in practice. The NORTEC Forum and specialist events such as the VDMA workshop “The road to Production 4.0” also provide an overview and deeper knowledge that will help your company embrace the future. And that future is not always far away, since many businesses are already working with machines that can be upgraded to Industry 4.0.

Manufacturers and retailers are looking forward to presenting to you their products and services at NORTEC in Hamburg every two years in January. There will be suppliers and contract manufacturers as well as specialists in every upstream and downstream process

NORTEC impressions

Set your sights on the industry’s first exhibition of the year

Compact and well structured, NORTEC makes it easy for you to talk to competent project partners who are experienced SMEs, and develop real solutions with them.

With all the knowledge gathered together at the year’s first industry trade fair, you can prepare early for your investment decisions and build up your network. That is what makes NORTEC so attractive, not only to visitors from the north but also from areas like Nordrhein-Westfalen, Baden-Württemberg and Saxony.

Situated in the heart of this cosmopolitan city, the modern exhibition halls (A3, A1 and A4) are easy and quick to reach. And Hamburg has always offered its visitors a lot to pass the time.

Success: digital transformation in practice

As users and suppliers of 4.0 technologies, machine builders have already undergone digital transformation and developed new business models. At NORTEC you can benefit from the expertise of these exhibitors. Find out how you can actually digitalise your own company. Connect up with existing technology and increase your versatility and efficiency long-term. One of the key words in all of this is ‘retrofitting’ – equipping conventional machines with 4.0 technologies.

At the 4.0 – Practical Course in Hall A3 you can find out for yourself how digitalisation solutions are already working in practice. Discover there how networking people with machines and machines with each other might look at your own company.
